Organ Care Technology

The Organ Care System (OCS) is a medical device designed by Transmedics that enables the preservation of donor organs for a longer period of time before transplantation. The system mimics elements of human physiology and maintains organs in an environment and temperature similar to the human body. UNetSM is a technology used every day by organ donation and transplant professionals to save lives through transplants. The United Network for Organ Sharing is a non-profit organization that built and continues to improve UNet in collaboration with innovative technology tools and partners.
